Essential Leonardo

Four books and some general essays on Leonardo will be sent to NEH Summer Scholars before the beginning of the seminar. These are essential materials that NEH Summer Scholars will find helpful to read before the beginning of the Institute as they are fundamental to any informed and advanced discussion on Leonardo and on art and science in the Renaissance.

Assigned Articles

A packet of assigned articles will be sent to NEH Summer Scholars before the beginning of the Institute. These articles will be the point of departure for the presentations and discussions lead by the visiting faculty.
