Project Manager:
Audrey Michel is a 4th year from San Antonio, Texas majoring in Psychology with a minor in Drama. Her favorite thing about the Learning Hub is the ability to disseminate learning strategies to new college students. Outside of the Learning Hub, she is the Undergraduate Coordinator for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee in the Psychology Department, a research assistant in the Teachman Program of Anxiety, Cognition, and Treatment Lab, the Pediatrics Clinic Greeter Co-Program Director for Medical Services in Madison House, a Hoos Connected Facilitator, and a member of the Washington Literary Society and Debating Union. She hopes to attend a Clinical Psychology PhD program in the future.
Project Mentors:
Kaitlin Blakeslee is a 4th year from Westchester, New York, majoring in Cognitive Science Major with a Data Science Minor. Her favorite thing about the Learning Hub is that it allows me to build relationships with first-year students and share knowledge with them about academics and extracurricular activities that I wish I had known when I first came to UVA. Outside of the Learning Hub, she is the Executive Head Program Director for Education and Youth Services at Madison House, a research assistant for Dodson Cognition Lab, a Dermatology Medical Assistant, a member of Club Swim and Delta Zeta Sorority. She hopes to attend medical school after she graduates from UVA and eventually become a pediatric doctor.
Veronica Pitts is a 4th (and a half!) year from Warrenton, Virginia, majoring in Cognitive Science and minoring in Spanish. Her favorite thing about the Learning Hub is having a mentor position where she can teach other students relevant and important information that can have a positive long-term impact inside and outside of their academic lives. Mentoring for the Learning Hub is a direct application of the CogSci major and she loves learning alongside the students. Outside of the Learning Hub, she works multiple jobs. Her primary work is with autistic folks at a non-profit farm. When not on the farm, you can find her creating art in many mediums, planning trips for Alternative Spring Break, weightlifting, playing volleyball, and spending time with her faith. She is unsure of where Cognitive Science and Spanish will take her but is excited for the journey!

Benjamin Rodriguez is a 4th year from Stephens City, Virginia, majoring in Psychology with a minor in Statistics. His favorite thing about the Learning Hub is the ability to guide first-year students throughout the semester in a meaningful way. Outside of the Learning Hub, he participates in Intramural Soccer. His career goal is to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) program as part of my path to becoming a clinical therapist.
Grace Parlee is a 3rd year from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, majoring in Cognitive Science Major and Studio Art. Her favorite thing about the Learning Hub is being able to guide students both through their academic lives and getting adjusted to UVA outside of the classroom. Outside of the Learning Hub, she loves to draw, hike, and go on runs with her dog. She hopes to attend medical school after she graduate from UVA.
Paige O'Neil is a 4th year from Moorestown, New Jersey, majoring in Cognitive Science and Psychology with a Data Science minor. Her favorite thing about the Learning Hub is being able to provide advice and support to the first-years. Outside of the Learning Hub, she loves to sing, play tennis and pickleball, and volunteer.
