Currently, we offer lessons in the following formats:
- In-person small groups, six sessions (Fall semester)
- Online program, six sessions (Fall semester)
- 1-hour workshops, stand-alone (Spring semester)
If you are interested in joining the in-person or online sessions, please contact Dr. Mariana Teles at mt2yq@virginia.edu
If you would like to join a workshop, please contact Katie Chervenic at xsn2rz@virginia.edu
NOTE: Due to high demand, these lessons are all limited to first-year students only.
As a Student Assistant:
Our work in the Learning Hub is largely carried out by undergraduate student assistants in the following positions:
- Mentor: Teaches the in-person sessions, creates meaningful bonds with students and offers advice beyond Learning Hub content, attends weekly meetings and training sessions to deeply learn content before teaching. Limited to fourth-year undergraduates.
- Research Assistant: Cleans and analyzes data, contributes to specific projects and larger lab discussions, and gains experience working through the full research cycle from planning to poster presentations.
If you are interested in joining the Learning Hub in one of these positions, please contact Dr. Mariana Teles at mt2yq@virginia.edu
