Xander Johansson

Xander is a fourth-year undergraduate from Alexandria, VA pursuing a B.A. in Psychology and Computer Science. He has served as a research assistant for the Adolescence Research Group since the fall 2022 semester and is interested in studying "the long-term effects of social relationships, especially parent-child relationships, such as the consequences of an individual's negative relationship with their parents on their mental and physical health when they are adults." In his spare time, Xander enjoys swimming, playing and watching sports like soccer, baseball, basketball. He is involved in UVA Club Swim, a swim instructor with UVA's IM-REC department, and a tutor for kids in Albemarle County Public Schools through Madison House. Upon graduation, Xander hopes to become a clinical child psychologist.
