Dr. Alison Nagel West

Alison is a post-doctoral research associate working with the Adolescence Research Group and serving as the current Program Director for Hoos Connected. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, Alison earned her B.A. in Psychology in 2010 and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2020 at the University of Virginia, making her a "Double Hoo." Her research interests include the development and implementation of school and community based interventions aimed to promote healthy social connections among youth. Alison enjoys spending her free time with her amazing husband, Justin, and her two adorable children, Carter and Anna.
