• We read and discussed a paper of mechaism of tree mortality by McDowell et al. (2008). Very useful paper to learn a modern view of plant physiological response to drought.

10/07/2019 - Hannah presents

• We read and discussed the Second State of the Carbon Cycle Report (SOCCR2) chapter on tidal wetlands and estuaries (https://carbon2018.globalchange.gov/downloads/SOCCR2_Ch15_Tidal_Wetlands_and_Estuaries.pdf). This was a great primer for understanding carbon budget dynamics, as well as key uncertainties, in tidal wetlands.

09/23/2019 - Andrew presents

• We read and discussed Kannenberg et al. 2019 (https://doi.org/10.1111/gcb.14710). It's was a fun read that revealed interesting patterns of tree structure and physiology in response to drought and post-drought recovery.
