Katrin Bergesen
Katrin is a fourth-year undergraduate from Arlington, VA pursuing a B.A. in Psychology. Katrin has served as a research assistant for the Adolescence Research Group since summer 2026 and is interested in studying how trauma informs social connection longitudinally, and the ways through which social media and technology are continuously intensifying their influence on emotional well-being. In her free time, Katrin loves the arts, board games, being outdoors, and spending time with friends. On Grounds, she is involved in UVA a cappella (The Virginia Belles), Greek life (Alpha Chi Omega), the Hoos Against Hazing Council, and Hoos Connected. She also works as a barista at Rookies in Clark Hall! Upon graduation, Katrin would like to become a therapist that is trained in both individual and group environments.
