Gabriel Syed

Gabriel is a third-year undergraduate from Blacksburg, VA pursuing a B.S. in Behavioral Neuroscience. He has served as a research assistant for the Adolescence Research Group since the fall 2025 semester and is interested in studying the environmental influences on mental health and wellbeing. Specifically, how isolation (both physical and social) might impact mental health and what factors improve or worsen perceived isolation from others. In his free time, Gabriel enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis, and bass guitar. Upon graduation, Gabriel is hoping to pursue graduate school in psychology.
