Problem sets are a way of showcasing a particular part of a language's grammar; the Lingletes program uses them both to test students' knowledge in the Linguistic Challenge and to teach the higlighted features. UVA's Lingletes uses a combination of in-house and the IOL's public problem sets for the program; the sets listed here are in-house problems from previous years. If you wish to access the IOL problem sets please visit their website at ioling.org. Students can use the provided problem sets as a first stepping stone in learning some of the field's more complex concepts and to compare the shocased language expression of these features with English.
