The UVA Lingletes Program is a student engaged linguistics program allowing high school students in grades 11-12 to learn linguistics concepts with the help of UVA undergraduate students through virtual, after-school activities. Started by Professor Janay Crabtree in 2022, the program aims to introduce high school students to linguistics concepts in an understandable way, using problem sets based on many languages across the world. At the end of the program, students will have the opportunity to compete in the Lingletes' Linguistic challenge, working together and independently for the champion title. At the same time, students can also see the research UVA's linguistics undergrad students have been working on that semester.
