Join the UVA Creative Writing Program as we host a poetry reading by our Kapnick Foundation Distinguished Writer-in-Residence, Camille Dungy ... and stay afterward for appetizers and dancing in the Newcomb Hall Ballroom. For those who need a ballroom refresher, members of the UVA Ballroom Club will give free lessons at 5 p.m.

"Poetry and Climate Change," is a symposium hosted by the Center for Poetry & Poetics. The event features a panel of presentations (2:00-3:40) by Margaret Ronda, Brian Teare, and Jahan Ramazani, followed by virtual readings, reflections, and Q&A (4:00-5:50) by Jorie Graham, winner of the Pulitzer Prize, and Craig Santos Perez, winner of the National Book Award.
