Carter Watson

he/him

PhD Student, Environmental Science

Carter is interested in how genomics and physiology influence the tradeoff between carbon uptake and water use across the landscape, and how this influences carbon sequestration and water availability. He received his Masters of Science in Ecology at the University of Georgia, where is was a member of Dr. Ford Ballantyne’s Lab of Theoretical Ecology. Outside research, Carter enjoys hiking, playing music, working out, and sitting quietly with a cup of coffee, reading or writing, letting the time pass slowly by.
