2021 Virginia Clean Energy & Catalysis Summit

Main Session

Monday, August 2

The 2021 Virginia Clean Energy and Catalysis Summit was a smashing success, hosting sixteen brilliant presenters who covered a wide variety of topics within the fields of clean energy and catalysis. We thank all speakers and attendees for making this spectacular event possible!

We offer a special thanks to our distinguished lecturers -- Prof. Karen Goldberg of the University of Pennsylvania and Prof. Peidong Yang of University of California at Berkeley -- who presented "Developing Alternatives to Oil as Feedstocks for our Chemicals and Liquid Fuels" and "The Chemistry of Making Semiconductor Nanowires for Artificial Photosynthesis," respectively.

The name and abstract of each presentation (alongside the name of the corresponding presenter and their institution) is provided in the flyer, which can be downloaded here.

Poster Session

Poster Session

The poster session was held in two designated poster rooms of the summit Gather.town space. We thank our many talented presenters for their stellar participation in the poster session!

Gather.town is a web-based application that allows you to explore a virtual space and interact with objects and people (the latter via Zoom-like video conferencing). Chrome is the recommended browser and is the only one supported by developers. Others can be used, but bugs may occur. You can also go to https://gather.town/ and try out a demo (“live walkthrough” is best but the office demo will work too.)
