Rich was a postdoc in the lab and he did  some innovative analysis on the long-term Plantago dataset including reverse-age analysis, the frequency and timing of reproduction, and the impact of genetics and the environment on population dynamics.  He is currently an Associate Professor of Plant Ecology in the Department of General Systems Studies at the University of Tokyo in Japan.
