The Environmental Neuropsychology Lab (ENP) at the University of Virginia is directed by Dr. Aaron Reuben, PhD MEM, Assistant Professor of Environmental Health & Neuropsychology.

Our lab's research focuses on three central questions:

  1. What are the lifespan neuropsychiatric consequences of early life exposure to environmental harms (e.g., toxicants, neighborhood disadvantage, etc.)?
  2. What is the potential utility of beneficial environmental amenities (e.g., parks, nature-visits, etc.) for neuropsychiatric preventive medicine and intervention?
  3. What are the potential neuropsychological sequelae of a changing climate and anthropogenic environmental disasters -- and how can we make our communities more resilient?
