The Environmental Neuropsychology Lab (ENP) at the University of Virginia is directed by Dr. Aaron Reuben, PhD MEM, Assistant Professor of Environmental Health & Neuropsychology.
Our lab's research focuses on three central questions:
- What are the lifespan neuropsychiatric consequences of early life exposure to environmental harms (e.g., toxicants, neighborhood disadvantage, etc.)?
- What is the potential utility of beneficial environmental amenities (e.g., parks, nature-visits, etc.) for neuropsychiatric preventive medicine and intervention?
- What are the potential neuropsychological sequelae of a changing climate and anthropogenic environmental disasters -- and how can we make our communities more resilient?
