Workshop series: Register for the PhD Plus workshop series (as many or as few as you want) on research presentations including topics like:
- Crafting a Compelling Conference Proposal (December 2, 2025)
- Creating an Engaging Presentation (February 11, 2026)

Workshops are offered both hybrid and virtual, check registration link to confirm. Open to all undergrads, masters, and doctoral students!

November 3rd 2025: Proposals Open (no longer accepting proposals for 2026)
December 2nd 2025: Workshop- Strategies for Drafting a Compelling Conference Abstract (4:00-5:00pm on Zoom; Register Here)
January 14th 2026: Workshop- Positionality Workshop (11:00am; Hybrid- Ridley 206/ Zoom; Register Here)
EXTENDED: January 30th, 2026 January 23rd 2026: Proposals submission deadline (no longer accepting proposals for 2026)
February 2nd, 2026: Reviewer training deadline & Reviewer assignments sent
February 2nd, 2026: Registration Opens
February 11th, 2026: Workshop- Creating an Engaging Podium Presentation (3:30-5:00 pm; Hybrid; Register Here)
February 20th, 2026: Reviewer feedback due
February 27th, 2026: Decisions/ Feedback Announced
March 10th, 2026: Deadline to email your poster to hsrc@virginia.edu to have it printed for you

March 13th, 2026: Programs Announced
March 20th, 2026: Workshop- Community Study Hall cohosted with the Black Scholars Writing Group where students can work on their posters and presentations, get peer feedback, and eat snacks (11:00am-2:00pm; Ridley 206; Register Here)
March 27th, 2026: Conference Day!!!
