We are located in Gilmer Hall on UVa grounds, near the stadium.
CHARLOTTESVILLE AREA TRANSIT
You can ride the Free Trolley to reach Gilmer Hall. Our building is easily accessible from stops 11234 on Alderman Rd. and 11782 on McCormick Rd.

PARKING
We have two separate parking locations for our study participants, one is in the front of the building on McCormick Rd. and the other is near the back of the building on Gilmer Dr. After you schedule a visit, a researcher will contact you with directions and information about parking.
Parking in the FRONT of the building: is reserved for Early Development Lab and Babylab participants. Depending on which route you took, from Alderman Rd., either make a right or left onto McCormick Rd. After 300 ft., you will see the lab's parking spaces on the right. Please park in the first available space you come to, it will be marked "Psychology Parking Child Study." A researcher will be waiting for you with a parking permit.
Parking in the BACK of the building: is reserved for Babylab, Early Social Development Lab and Jaswal Lab participants. Turn onto Gilmer Drive and follow the road down the hill, then make a right to drive past the staircase to reach our study parking spaces. Please, park in the allotted "Infant Studies" spots, a researcher will be waiting for you with a parking permit.
NOTE: Access to McCormick Rd. from Emmet St. is blocked by a gate during business hours.
From 64W/E: Take exit 118B to merge onto US-29 N toward Charlottesville/Culpeper. Take the US-29 BUS N exit toward Charlottesville. Turn right onto Fontaine Avenue after coming off the ramp. At the intersection of Fontaine, JPA, and Maury Avenue, take a left onto Maury Avenue. Stay on Maury, which becomes Alderman Road after the stop sign. Drive Past Scott Stadium and the Aquatic and Fitness Center on the right. Take a right on Gilmer Dr. or McCormick Rd. and follow the above parking directions.
From Main Street: Head towards Emmet St. At the intersection of Main (University Ave), Emmet, and Ivy, go straight and Main (University Ave) becomes Ivy Rd. Take a left at the second stoplight onto Alderman Road. Take a Left on McCormick Rd or Gilmer Dr. and follow the above parking directions.
From 29N (Barracks): Take 29 S (becomes Emmet St) and pass Barracks Road Shopping Center on the right. At the intersection of University Ave, Emmet, and Ivy, take a right onto Ivy Rd (at the light, Best Western Cavalier Inn will be on the right). At the second stoplight, take a left onto Alderman Road. Take a Left on McCormick Rd or Gilmer Dr. and follow the above parking directions.
From 29S: Take US Route 29 North to the US 29 North Business exit. Turn right when coming off the exit ramp onto Fontaine Avenue. At the intersection of Fontaine, JPA, and Maury Avenue, take a left onto Maury Avenue. Stay on Maury, which becomes Alderman Road after the stop sign. Pass Scott Stadium and the Aquatic and Fitness Center on the right. Take a right on Gilmer Dr. or McCormick Rd. and follow the above parking directions.
From 250W: Stay on 250W, heading to Charlottesville until 250 becomes Ivy Rd. At the intersection of Ivy and Alderman, take a right onto Alderman (Wells Fargo Bank is on the right at the light). Take a Left on McCormick Rd or Gilmer Dr. and follow the above directions for parking.
