It's seed season! Seedson!
Last Friday, I (Ethan) guest lectured in Meghan's Landscape Architecture class (LAR-7210, Eco-Tech III), talking about sourcing & growing native plants for restoration and landscape projects. I gave a ~40 minute talk on native, invasive, and non-native plants, and then specificalyl talking about how to grow and source these plants locally and commercially.
We then took the class out around Morven Farm to collect, sow, and stratify seeds to demonstrate the process that goes into seed cleaning and processing (and relatively how simple it is!).
A lovely morning full of seeds and romping around in the outdoors :).
