Arctic CoLab

The Arctic CoLab at the University of Virginia brings together experts from environmental science, design, engineering, and music to understand interactions between natural and built systems in the Arctic. Funded by the UVA Environmental Resilience Institute and the NSF, we work with community leaders and researchers to co-produce knowledge about the rapidly changing Arctic. Research currently focuses on Utqiagvik, Alaska (formerly Barrow), with the goal of establishing a sensor network of environmental conditions from the landscape to the human scale.
