PhD Plus - Research Presentation Series
This workshop series, co-hosted by PhD Plus and the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, introduces graduate students and postdocs to the foundational concepts of leadership, including influence without authority, managing organizational change, empowering teams, and conflict navigation. Participants explore the difference between leadership and management while developing their own leadership philosophy through reflection on diverse leadership styles and perspectives. Key communication skills are emphasized throughout, especially in navigating difficult conversations and building trust across teams. As a culminating project, students create a personal leadership plan that integrates their learning and leadership goals. See below for the dates and topics for each session, and learn more by visiting the PhD Plus - Leadership Fundamentals webpage.
