Graduate Student in Chemistry
Sam Webster graduated from Truman State University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and minors in Forensic Science, Military Science, and Spanish. As an undergraduate, Sam researched the aggregation of proteins that lead to cataracts and interned at the Defense Forensic Science Center and the Army Research Laboratory. In the Venton lab, she will be working on the illustrating the effects of drugs of abuse on the drosophila brain. Outside of lab, she enjoys reading, working out, cooking, arts and crafts, and the occasional adventure (preferably outside and involving hiking, hammocks, and/or picnics).
