Dennis Rinehart

Lab Technician

Dennis Rinehart completed a bachelor’s degree in biology at Liberty University before studying plant breeding as an agricultural intern at The Land Institute, Salina Kansas.  After returning to Virginia, he worked a few seasons as a park ranger/naturalist before moving to Charlottesville to work as a Lab Specialist at the University of Virginia, and start a family.  His work has included stints in both the Biochemistry and Physiology departments of the University’s School of Medicine, as well as a period of administrative service in the Graduate Programs Office.  When not in the lab, Dennis enjoys time with his family and his church community.  He takes advantage of opportunities for gardening and other outdoor activities when possible.
