Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics
Noah Myung is an Associate Professor of Public Policy and Economics at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, University of Virginia. He received his Ph.D and MS in economics from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). His BS is from UCLA, double majoring in mathematics and economics. He previously held faculty positions at the Naval Postgraduate School, and the University of California, Berkeley. He was also the former director of the Center for Leadership Simulation and Gaming at the University of Virginia.
His research interest is in game theory, organizational economics, and financial economics, often utilizing tools from experimental economics and behavioral economics. In addition, his Department of Defense research interest has been in market design, focusing on issues of retention, compensation, and assignment. He also has designed and taught classes related to national security and resource strategy.
