A&S Research Development focuses on creating and sustaining an enabling ecosystem to support the development of research plans and strategies, and assists faculty in finding and pursuing funding opportunities.
They provide:
- Alerts and strategic advice on research funding opportunities
- Support for major proposal development
- Early career faculty research strategy development
- Assistance through facilitation of interdisciplinary collaboration, and
- Support in developing and sustaining relationships with funding agencies.
The Director of Research Development, Rana Ganguly, collaborates with Arts & Sciences leadership to provide strategic research guidance to faculty. Mr. Ganguly works closely with research development colleagues across UVA.
