Paul BourdonMy research interests are operator theory (especially composition operators acting on spaces of analytic functions), function theory (analytic & harmonic), and quantum-information theory (superdense coding with partially entangled quantum particles). My teaching interests include active-learning strategies,  assessement of learning (especially in calculus), and matthematical modeling in differential equations. In 1985, I earned my Ph.D. in mathematics from UNC-Chapel Hill. Since then I have held appointments at Michigan State University, Washington and Lee University, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, and the University of Virginia.
