Dr. Flores writes and speaks about the significance of religion in the practice of democracy in a variety of academic, ecclesial, and social contexts. Her research on La Virgen de Guadalupe and democracy has been profiled on the popular podcastsThings Not Seen and Know Your Enemy and featured on CBS Saturday Morning. Her 2016 Interview with U.S. Catholic magazine, Somos Familia, was awarded Outstanding Interview from the Associated Church Press and Honorable Mention from the Catholic Press Association.
