Congratulations to Renna Nouwairi for being selected as the recipient of the Donald H. Hunt Fellowship by the Graduate Studies Committee, in recognition of her achievements within the Chemistry Department program. The Hunt Fellowship was established former students and donors to honor of the accomplishments of Professor Donald F. Hunt who was a faculty member of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia from 1968-2023. Professor Hunt is a leader in bioanalytical chemistry and mass spectrometry.

Charlie Clark travelled to the West Palm Beach Sheriff's Office (PBSO) forensic laboratory for external evaluation of the SONIC system, an analytical instrument capable of separating sperm cells from epithelial cell lysate using acoustic force. The instrument was also sent to the Mesa Police Department for testing.
