This project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between the University of Virginia and Birla Institute of Technology and Science (Pilani, India), with contributions from Brown University, Wellesley University, and the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (Bangalore, India).
This issue is multifaceted, requiring an appreciation and understanding of the science behind the causes, the economics behind the consequences, and the engineering from which enduring technological solutions can emerge. Using this research as a platform, we intend to develop a curriculum that transcends disciplinary boundaries and promotes project driven and solution oriented critical thinking among students.
