Njelle Hamilton is an associate professor in the Departments of English and  African and African-American Studies. She specializes in contemporary Caribbean literature and culture. Her first monograph, Phonographic Memories: Popular Music and the Contemporary Caribbean Novel, was published by Rutgers University Press in May 2019.
