Cherrie Kwok’s dissertation focuses on a set of anti-imperial writers from Black America, the Caribbean, China, and India who drew from a late-Victorian movement called Decadence in their poetry and prose. In addition to her doctoral research, she has organized digital and public humanities projects through her undergraduate teaching. Most recently, these projects have focused on recovering Black history and the history of student activism movements in Virginia.
