Call for Book Reviews: Anthurium

2021 JAN 15
Friday, Jan 15, 2021 (All day)

Anthurium Caribbean Studies Journal invites your submission of book reviews for a special review issue on “Queer Caribbean Studies,” scheduled for Spring/Summer 2021. If there’s a recently published (2017 to present) work of scholarship, fiction, non-fiction, or poetry that you would like to review, please contact Njelle Hamilton (njhamilton@virginia.edu) by Jan 15.

Due to COVID-related postal issues we’ll most likely request review copies (or electronic versions) directly from presses to you, so the earlier you contact me the sooner you can get going. If you already have a copy of the title, please let me know that as well. Reviews will be due March 15th.

Timeline:

Jan 15, 2021: email njhamilton@virginia.edu expressing interest; indicate the work to be reviewed and whether you already have a copy or will need a copy sent to you.

March 15, 2021: Drafts due (kindly include the names, affiliations and email of two potential reviewers). Author guidelines here.

April 30, 2021: Peer review comments returned to contributors.

May 15, 2021: Revised essays due.
