Dr. Adams served on the faculty at Montclair State University for 22.5 years and earned the rank of professor and, upon retirement, Professor Emeritus. Dr. Adams maintained a research laboratory which analyzed the antiviral properties of natural products including tea extracts against Herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, Sindbis virus, and Enterovirus 69.
