Ines Sun

Ines Sun is a multidisciplinary visual artist who has harmoniously immersed herself in the crossroads of East and West. 

She practices calligraphy before working on canvas as preparation and purification. In the accumulation of years of practice, her ability to be calm and focused grows. During the pandemic, she shared her calligraphy practice to help friends and strangers find emotional stability. She was awarded a storefront grant from Chashama in June 2021, where she ran calligraphy workshops for non-Chinese. She is also a recipient of Brooklyn Arts Council for Su-CASA Grant which allows Sun to share her joy of writing with seniors. These workshops have formed a supportive community around calligraphy. Now she runs workshops regularly for individuals and corporations such as Esty, Deloitte and others.
