The University has created three new video spots that will air during televised football and basketball games this fall and winter. The TV spots show our faculty members and students delivering the words of Thomas Jefferson.
In these women and men we see the remarkable diversity that has become one of the University's defining hallmarks in our time. In their words we hear the vision and ambition of the University's founder, who dreamed of an institution "based on the illimitable freedom of the human mind."
Today, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, and families in the University community help sustain Jefferson's vision of education as the foundation for human freedom. Together, we do our part of the work that he started nearly 200 years ago. For this, and for the many ways in which your commitment enriches life at the University, I am grateful.
