Sleep and circadian disruptions often precede the onset of memory problems in AD. We are interested to learn whether strengthening the sleep/wake cycle or circadian rhythmicity slows the progression of AD. With the support from Alzheimer's Association, we will develop a timed exercise, meal and light regiment that increases circadian rhythmicity in mice. We will then determine whether this treatment improves pathology and memory in an AD mouse model.
