My research area is operator theory and analysis. Specific areas include canonical models, complex function theory, operator methods in interpolation problems, operator colligations, canonical differential equations, and Krein space operator theory.
I have held academic positions at Purdue University (1963-67) and the University of Virginia (1967-), where I am currently an emeritus professor. Sabbatical leaves and summers also allowed me to hold visiting research positions at a number of U.S. and international institutions. These were rich personal experiences for me and my family, and they resulted in many friendships and enjoyable collaborations.
