About Us

Welcome to the Adolescence Research Group! We are a psychology research lab at the University of Virginia, led by Dr. Joe Allen, that explores the intricacies of adolescence and their effects on social, mental, and physical health over the lifespan. Our research aims to not only understand the adolescent experience but also promote positive connections and healthy development within it.

The lab is home to graduate students, post-docs, and research assistants interested in adolescent development. Click on the People tab above to learn more about them! If you are interested in learning more about our past and current projects, grants, and publications, check out our pages under the Research tab.

Interested in joining our team? Find out if we're looking for new graduate students or research assistants by navigating to the Resources tab above!
