Leela Abrishami

Undergraduate Research Assistant


Leela is a fourth-year undergraduate pursuing a B.A. in Global Public Health with a minor in Psychology. She joined the Adolescence Research Group in the summer of 2021. Leela is interested in how childhood events shape later social behavior and patterns as well as how to mitigate the impact of trauma on future coping mechanisms and psychopathology. She hopes to pursue a career in mental health services through private practice or community-based programs. In her free time, Leela can be found baking vegan treats, exploring a new hiking trail, or learning how to rock climb.
