Jess Kansky is a graduate student in Clinical Psychology currently completing her pre-doctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and Ralph H. Johnson VA Medical Center focusing on couples therapy and adult psychopathology. Prior to joining the Adolescence Research Group, she received her B.A. in Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in 2011. Jess's research focuses on understanding developmental trajectories of romantic experiences and mental health from adolescence through adulthood. She is particularly interested in psychosocial predictors and outcomes of romantic relationships, with an emphasis on the positive qualities of relationships that can impact healthy adjustment to adulthood and promote optimal interpersonal and individual development and well-being. When she's not working on research or seeing clients, you can find Jess hosting trivia nights, volunteering at benefit concerts, hanging our with her dog, Chloe, or exploring her new home in Charleston!
