Call for Papers and Posters
The State Politics and Policy Conference will be in Charlottesville June 7th – June 9th 2024. Justin Kirkland and Craig Volden are thrilled to host SPPC 2024 with university partners including the Karsh Institute of Democracy, the Quantitative Collaborative, the Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy, and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. This year our theme is Effective Governing and Representation in the American States. We encourage submissions from faculty, graduate students and undergraduate students working on state politics and policy research. The deadline for submissions is January 26th, 2024.

If you would like to attend to serve as a discussant, or just to see the presentations, please register below and indicate so on the registration survey.

Conference Hotels
We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Charlottesville-Monticello at a room rate of $175.99 plus tax. The Quantitative Collaborative
The University of Virginia’s Quantitative Collaborative (QC) is committed to supporting and enhancing the work of faculty and graduate students who employ quantitative methods to analyze social behavior.
The Quantitative Collaborative (QC) defines an organizational umbrella under which quantitative social scientists, regardless of department or school, gather to pursue research questions of common interest. The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences
The College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (A&S) remains the historical and intellectual foundation of the University of Virginia.
