I am on the Editorial Advisory Board at the Omohundro Institute of Early American Studies, and I currently sit on the Board of Directors at the University of Virginia Press, where I edit the New World Studies Series. I am also co-founder and co-editor with Julia Gaffield of the H-Net Commons Network, H-Haiti. Recently, I have joined the editorial team of the Global Black History section of Public Books.
