Hoos Getting Ready Online

Do you want the academic experience of taking a College seminar but need to gain that experience from home?  If so, consider enrolling in the online version of LASE 2510: Music, Social Identity, and the University.

This three-credit, graded course will take place "live" (synchronously) on Zoom, so you can take it from anywhere as long as your internet connection and schedule allow for your full participation in class meetings (Monday-Friday, 10 AM-12:15 PM EST, July 15-August 9). The content of this liberal arts seminar is the same as the in-person class taught for Hoos Getting Ready Residential participants and offers similar benefits, including small group discussions with peers and visitors from resource offices across the university.

If you are interested in a rigorous yet supportive introduction to university-level academics but your schedule or other considerations rule out the on Grounds program, this online seminar may be a perfect fit for you.

The College covers all costs associated with Hoos Getting Ready Online, including tuition, fees, and course materials! This class is capped at 25 students.

Underrepresented, first-generation, and low-income students are especially encouraged to apply.
