Crystal Slane is currently a third year graduate student studying Cognitive Psychology at UVA.  Her work focusses on false memory and confidence, primarily in identifying subsets of the population who are particularly prone to memory distortions, in investigating techniques to decrease instances of false memory, and in better understanding the role of confidence in a legal setting.
