2019 Summer Research Assistant
Will attends Monticello High School where he passionately explores his academic and personal interests in biology, drama, and modern expressionism. Since he was a child, Will has been fascinated with other cultures and strives to learn more about them rather than focus on supposed ‘inherent’ differences. Will is encouraged by an inclusive vision of the future and the high energy his generation has for social justice efforts. He hopes to follow a pre-med track that focuses on the discriminatory treatment of minority patients and ways to combat similar forms of racialized medical practice. At the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, he will perform valuable research for the completion and consolidation of the Virginia African American historic sites database.
