At Charlottesville High School, Ryan has taken various classes in history and photography which are amongst his favorite subjects. He is passionate about honing the skills he has developed while immersing himself in related topics to catalyze personal growth and celebrate his culture. Ryan looks to the future with the hope that we will attain a more equitable society but also acknowledges the importance of analyzing the past in order to prevent history from repeating itself. Ryan will collaborate with other summer interns to transcribe and interpret the papers of Julian Bond, the late Civil Rights leader and  history professor at UVA.
