NIH K99/R00 Postdoctoral Fellow
Elise grew up in a rural area in northeast France and entered the world of research as a medical lab technician. She has since grown a passion for fundamental questions in neuroscience and is currently investigating the contribution of the superior colliculus to visual experience. Elise joined the lab at the end of 2016, after a PhD at the University of Strasbourg in France, during which she characterized a molecular mechanism involved in the wiring of this structure. She investigates the physiology and organization of the superior colliculus using 2-photon calcium imaging. Growing up in the countryside also gave her a passion for the outdoors and she enjoys exploring nature either by foot, on a horse or biking!
